Are you an expert in calculations and want to work on international projects?

Do you want to be a key player in the development of world-leading equipment for bulk handling? As a Calculation Engineer at Bruks Siwertell, you will be a central part of our engineering team, working on technical analyses, strength calculations, and the development of methods that shape the products of the future. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in an international environment where innovation, safety, and quality are in focus.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for technical calculations and analyses related to components and systems within our range of equipment for ship unloading, loading, and terminals. The products handle dry bulk and mainly consist of welded steel structures, conveyors, and hydraulic and electrical systems. You will work closely with design, project teams, and RochD, ensuring that our solutions meet quality, reliability, and longevity requirements. Your main tasks include:

  • Performing technical calculations, primarily strength analyses for various machine components.
  • Providing load data, including stability and center of gravity calculations.
  • Conducting mechanical sizing calculations for component and construction selection.
  • Documenting and compiling technical calculations for projects.
  • Conducting technical investigations related to RochD.
  • Carrying out bulk flow simulations and calibration of bulk materials.
  • Co-managing our bulk flow simulation tool together with RochD.
  • Modeling beam structures.
  • Participating in the management and development of methods, workflows, and standardization.

Qualifications

You have a Master's degree in engineering with a focus on strength calculations or similar, and at least 2-5 years of experience in calculations of steel structures, preferably welded constructions. Experience with particle flow simulation is an advantage. You are accustomed to working in project form and have a good familiarity with sizing standards and simulation programs. Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite for the position.

To succeed in this role, we believe you are attentive, curious, and knowledge-seeking, and enjoy technical challenges. You have a strong technical interest, good analytical skills, and a structured approach to work. You are trustworthy with good communication skills and can drive your work forward independently while also having good collaboration skills both internally and externally with suppliers, for example.

Our Offer

We offer a dynamic, technically oriented role within a growing international company with a strong local presence. The company produces and delivers products of the highest quality globally. You will become a valuable member of a team of skilled professionals who take pride and joy in their work.
